About the program

Physical Education and Health at Liberty University prepares its graduates to become competent, problem-solving, and innovative professionals able to design, deliver, and assess health and physical education instruction for grades preK-12.

The program offers two options for students: Virginia licensure and non-licensure tracks. Approved by the Virginia Department of Education, the licensure track requires students to complete one semester of student teaching that includes full-time classroom teaching in both elementary and secondary health and physical education settings.

Upon graduation, licensure students receive a Virginia teaching license. Most state education departments grant licensure reciprocity to our graduates.

The B.S. in Physical Education & Health is offered through the Department of Allied Health Professions.
